Rx Tracking (DSCSA) for Odoo 18
The Rx Tracking modules add serial-level tracking of prescription drugs to Odoo 18 for US wholesale distributors and third-party logistics providers (3PLs): a ledger of every serialized unit, trading-partner license checks on orders and transfers, supplier EPCIS files in, DSCSA documents (T3 and EPCIS) out, and records you can search, export and keep. What it doesn't do
- It changes nothing for products that aren't marked as DSCSA products: no check, no serial, no document.
- It doesn't send anything to FDA or to your trading partners on your behalf. For example, the Form FDA 3911 output is a data sheet you submit yourself.
- It doesn't import records from another track-and-trace system as DSCSA documents; your procedure decides how you keep them.
- It doesn't move DSCSA stock between two of your own companies as an inter-company transit.
- It doesn't receive supplier files automatically: there is no AS2 connection and no link to a supplier's portal. You upload each supplier EPCIS file on its receipt with Import EPCIS. See Import the supplier's EPCIS file on the receipt.
- It reads and writes EPCIS 1.2 XML files only. An EPCIS 2.0 file, XML or JSON, is refused at import (see Error: "… can't be read as an EPCIS 1.2 file"), and the files it writes are EPCIS 1.2 (see The outbound EPCIS 1.2 file).
- It doesn't ask a verification router service (VRS) about returned units. A saleable return is accepted only for units the package ledger shows you shipped to that customer, and your staff verify the units before resale. See Receive a saleable customer return with its serials.
- It doesn't look licenses up online. Your staff check each license at its source, for example the state board of pharmacy's look-up, and record the verification in the software. See Record and verify a trading partner's license.
