Set up the Enterprise add-ons

With Odoo Enterprise, two add-ons connect Rx Tracking to Odoo's Barcode and Quality apps, and two bridges connect them to the 3PL add-on. This page lists what each one needs and where its setup is described. Install and set them up after the first 30 minutes.

Requires: Odoo Enterprise, and Rx Tracking (DSCSA).

Install them

• Install the Enterprise add-ons, and what installs automatically: either add-on, or both, in any order. Odoo installs the Barcode or Quality app with its add-on if it isn't installed yet.

Rx Tracking (DSCSA) - Barcode

One scan of a unit's GS1 DataMatrix code fills in its lot and its serial number in the Barcode app. It needs Odoo's Barcode app.

Rx Tracking (DSCSA) - Suspect Product Investigations

Suspect-product and illegitimate-product investigations, the 24-hour deadline and the Form FDA 3911 data sheet, in the Quality app. It needs Odoo's Quality app.

  • Set up investigations: D-U-N-S number, automatic investigations, Form 3911 data
  • Give staff access to investigations
  • Use Quality Control checks alongside DSCSA operations

The bridges, with the 3PL add-on

Each bridge installs itself when both modules it connects are installed. Neither has settings of its own.

• Rx Tracking (DSCSA): 3PL Barcode bridge, with the 3PL add-on and the Barcode add-on: Scan owner stock in the Barcode app
• Rx Tracking (DSCSA): 3PL Quality bridge, with the 3PL add-on and the Suspect Product add-on: Investigate owners' stock

On Odoo Community

The Enterprise add-ons don't install on Odoo Community. What to do instead:

• Scanning without Odoo Enterprise
• Suspect product without Odoo Enterprise
• An Enterprise add-on won't install
