What the 3PL add-on doesn't do

These options were considered for the add-on and not built. Your procedure decides how you handle each of them outside the software.

• No receiving confirmation to the owner. When you validate an owner receipt, the owner gets no notice and no email. Tell it yourself, or give its contacts the owner portal. See Scan and validate an owner receipt and Give an owner's contacts the owner portal.
• No per-owner rule for small dispensers. Owner shipments to an exempt small dispenser follow the company's exemption end date, the same for every owner; an owner can't choose package-level documents for all its shipments. See Set the small-dispenser exemption end date.
• No check of the ship-to state's license. The 3PL facility license checked is the one recorded for the shipping facility; a non-resident license for the customer's state is neither recorded nor checked. See Record and verify our facility licenses.
• No per-owner customer rules. An owner's shipments pass the same trading-partner checks as your own; the software has no setting that limits an owner to some customers or license types.
• No per-owner response time for trace requests. Every trace request has the same 24-hour internal target. See What an owner-scoped trace response contains.
• No limit on which owners a staff member sees. Every Rx Tracking user sees every owner's records. See What each Rx Tracking role can see and do.
• No separate archive folder per owner. Documents issued in an owner's name go to the off-site archive under your company's prefix, with your own. To give an owner everything you keep about it, use Export everything we keep about one owner as one zip.
• No "distributed for" line on title-model documents. Documents of units you bought in place name your company as the seller, with no manufacturer or brand line. See The title model.
• No "no mixed lots" option. One lot can hold units of several owners and your own at the same time; ownership is kept per serial. See Owner stock and own stock.
• One EPCIS event type for transfers in place. A title transfer's EPCIS file uses a shipping event whose source and destination are both your facility; no other event type can be chosen per owner. See Title transfer rules.
